he Hudson Valleys hardest working kindie band, Ratboy Jr., celebrates the release of its second full length album, Champions Of The Universe at BSP in Kingston, New York. The family friendly duo of Tim Sutton and Matt Senzatimore, will perform a rare full band show joined by Geoff Gersh on guitar and Jason Brunka on Bass.

Champions of the Universe takes kids and their parents on a voyage through many different musical styles, moods, and topics. Rocks that slide up hill, guitar playing chickens, and instructions about how to eat clouds and make hand puppets are just a few of the many subjects that are covered. Most of the 15 songs were recorded at No Parking Studio in Rosendale, New York and co-produced by Dog On Fleas band leader Dean Jones. Additional tracks were recorded at Tuttle Sound Labs in Woodstock, New York and co-produced by Mike Tuttle.

"Overall it was a truly creative and wild time," says Jones. In the words of Ratboy Jr., "This is our Dark Side Of The Moon." The album also features many guest musicians and friends including Sutton's wife Catherine and young son Elliott. Champions of the Universe will be available for purchase at the release party. The CD will also soon be available at select Hudson Valley stores as well as iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby and other online locations.

Ratboy Jr. has been entertaining families in the Hudson Valley and beyond for over 4 years, performing at all kinds of events and festivals as far away as Ann Arbor, Michigan and becoming yearly performers at the famous music festival Mountain Jam. Sutton and Senzatimore have become known for their ability to interact with audiences both young and old. Improvisation and audience participation are an integral part of their energetic live performances. The band's touring and performance schedule has been steadily increasing and 2012 is sure to be no different. With an unbridled enthusiasm backing up a brand new recording, the world is Ratboy Jr.'s oyster and Champions of the Universe is their pearl.
